The Department is headed by Prof. Dr. Arif Zafeer (MBBS, MCPS, FCPS & Diploma in Child Health). He has a vast teaching and research experience to his credit. He has been the supervisor of many postgraduate students in the specialty. Under his supervision, well qualified and experienced requisite faculty is working to train and teach medical students. The Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology has 50 beds in the pediatric ward and fifteen beds in neonatology unit which is well equipped with all gadgets including incubators, cardiac monitors and ventilators. Emergency service is available 24 hours for pediatric patients.
